Spare Tire Carrier for the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket

Will the Yakima spare tire carrier attach to my Thule Canyon XT rooftop basket? If not, are there any other alternatives that I can use to attach my spare tire to my Thule canyon XT basket?

I am sure you could make the Yakima Spare Tire Carrier part # Y07076 work on your Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket part # TH859XT by drilling new holes into the mounting plate but it will not work out of the box without modifications. The lower bars on the basket are too far apart. Unfortunately, they do not offer any spare tires carriers specifically for your Canyon XT so the Yakima Spare Tire Carrier may be your best bet afterall. You could also use something like the Fulton Economy Spare Tire Carrier part # FETCHL0700 but again you would need to get creative as nothing they offer will be a direct fit.
