For your 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13505. The reason I recommend this trailer hitch for you is because the receiver tube opening is only recessed 3" behind the rear bumper so there should be absolutely no issue with using a hitch mounted bike rack. This trailer hitch is also a custom fit that does not require any drilling as it installs using pre drilled holes in the frame rail.

The hitch example that conner sent me looked nice and I watched the installation video, which brought up another questions In the video they removed the rear tow hitch rings but didnt replace them. Why, and how would they tow it without the hitch rings? Also I forgot to state that the bike rack I have is 1.25 inch square tube rack with a 5/8inch attachment/secure hole and a 1inch rack lock pin hole about 1inch distance from hole to hole. Do you sell a 2inch to 1 1/4inch hitch reducer that would fit my bike rack.

The rear tow hooks on your 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe use the same mounting holes as the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13505 which means they will have to be removed to install the trailer hitch. However, if you ever need someone to pull you out you can easily use the safety chain loops on the trailer hitch instead which will actually be a bit easier to use as they are further away from the rear bumper fascia. If you can provide me with the make and model of your bike rack I would be glad to see if a 1-1/4" to 2" trailer hitch adapter is available.

There should have been a 1-1/4" to 2" shank sleeve adapter that came with your Pro Series Q- Slot 2 Bike Rack 63134 but if you no longer have this you can use something like the Aluminum Hitch Adapter Sleeve part # SA3032 because the design is pretty standard and they don't make replacements for your bike rack. The set screw that holds the sleeve to the shank may or may not line up but it is not really needed as the hitch pin will do all that for you.
