Parts Needed to Install 7-Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller in 2016 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I see that there is a 4 pin wiring set, but is there a way to wire a 7 pinlike what a Toyota Sequoia has? If I am understanding correctly, I need to have this if I have a trailer with brakes.

You are correct that a 4-pole trailer wiring setup like # 118496 powers only lights and does not have the additional circuit needed for delivering brake power to engage electric trailer brakes.
But we offer a complete conversion kit that allows you to upgrade your 4-pole to a 7-way and that is part # ETBC7.
This kit does two things for you: it provides all the parts needed to convert your wiring to the 7-way, including the new connector, and it also allows you to complete the installation of a trailer brake controller such as a reliable and user-friendly Prodigy P2 # 90885. All you need is the # ETBC7 kit and the Prodigy controller.
To help you do this install I have linked both a help article and an installation video for the # ETBC7.
