For your 1996 Suzuki X-90 I recommend the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 118-16. Unlike the Blue Ox base plate kit that is also confirmed to fit your vehicle, this particular kit features removable drawbars that allow for a clean look when you aren't towing. All of the mounting hardware is included for a simple installation that doesn't require any welding. I have attached the written instructions that you can check out as well.
Then for a compatible tow bar I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain # RM-522. This tow bar features a non-binding design that allows for easy release even when you're on unlevel ground. Its extra-long telescoping arms will also provide better maneuverability during travel. It has a 6,000 pound towing weight capacity. For the required safety cables you can use # RM-646 if you don't have them already.
To complete your flat tow setup (if you don't already have them) you will also need a lighting solution, a supplemental braking system, and likely a high-low adapter.
For a lighting solution I really like the Roadmaster Diode Kit # RM-15267. This kit allows you to wire your Suzuki so that it accepts the basic signal lights from the RV when towing. It includes a 6-Way connector that will mount to the front of the vehicle and enough coiled wiring to go from there to the 7-Way on the RV. For a less permanent solution we also have magnetic lights like the Optronics # TL21RK. These lights will mount right on top of the Suzuki X-90 and plug into the RV so that you don't have to splice into any of the vehicle wiring.
Then for a supplemental braking system I highly recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. This proportional system will activate the vehicle brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in the RV. A great thing about this particular system is that after the initial installation it requires very little attention as you transition from towing to every day driving (and vice versa).
Lastly you will likely need a high-low adapter in order to keep your tow bar level. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup along with a link that will take you to our available selection.
