Reese Base Rail Kit Measurements for a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500
Question:
Need detailed measurements for installing a Reese 16k 5th wheel hitch #30047 in a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500

Expert Reply:
The Reese 5th Wheel Hitch # RP30047 itself will just sit in base rails. If you are talking about where to configure the base rails on your 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 then we first need to determine which base rail kit that you have to ensure that you can follow the correct instructions.
Most people purchase the base rails from the same manufacturer of the 5th wheel hitch so if you purchase Reese base rails you have either part # RP30035, part # RP50064-58, or part # RP56007-53. I have attached pictures of the various installation measurement for your 2001 Sierra 2500 in the same order of the listed kits as well as the instruction documents to this page for you to reference.
If you have a different base rail kit just let me know and I can help you locate instructions if we carry that kit.
