Recommended Replacement Spindles and Suspension for Harbor Freight Trailer
Question:
Hi I have a Habor Freight trailer that needs the hub and bearing/seals replaced. It is a Nuway/Martin Industry product, Model NW13848. GVWR is 1180 lbs and tire size is 4.80/4.0. Also, when damage occurred the inner bearing locked onto the axle and I am unable to remove. Any suggestions. Thanks much

The Harbor Freight trailers are notorious for not being compatible with standard bearing replacement sizes. Unfortunately there is not a simple bearing replacement I can give you.
The spindles of those trailers are an odd size that work well only with their bearings which we do not carry. My recommendation is to replace your trailer with a new one of the same quality for the cost of the replacement parts or upgrade your axles to the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs - 4 on 4 - Regular Tires - 1,200 lbs # A12RS440 which will give you the EZ-lube spindles to avoid a future issue of bearings seizing up, and will also give you hubs, bearings, spindles and complete suspension to further upgrade your trailer. This system will work with the unique frame widths of harbor freight or any other trailer and will require a 2 inch square bar not included installed into the integrated holes.
The upgrade will give you a really decent trailer that will still utilize the other components of your trailer but will have replicable bearings, seals, and hubs if needed and will give you upgraded suspension that requires no maintenance.
