Recommended Timbren Springs to Help Bottoming Out in 2007 Nissan Xterra

Question:

Please advise what Timbren product would you recommend that would reduce bottoming out in my Xterra sometimes when going up very steep inclines with a heavy load? I am considering the Active Off Road Bump stops or the JRC01 SES system. Also which option would enable the best handling and do one or both of these options reduce articulation? Than you

For your 2007 Nissan Xterra I recommend going with the Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops # TABSJRC01 that you referenced. These are really designed for exactly what you're needing them for on your Xterra. They will replace your factory bumpstops and while they won't completely prevent you for bottoming out (no suspension enhancement system will), they are specifically designed to cushion the impact when it does happen so you don't experience that spine-crushing jolt. I actually also called my contact at Timbren to get his input and he also agreed that the Active Off-Road Bumpstops is your best option.

He did say that both options may reduce articulation to a certain extent but the Active Off-Road Bumpstops will do a much better job of providing a comfortable ride if you are going off-roading with a load. They will also handle much better in this application than the TJRC01 set that you were also looking at.

I have attached the complete installation instructions for these springs that you can check out as well.
