Tranny and Engine Oil Cooler Recommendation for 2006 Cadillac Escalade
Question:
I want to upgrade my 06 Cadillac Escalade so that it can tow more comfortably in regards to engine and transmission oil temperatures. I just finished towing a 30 ft travel trailer total weight approximately 7500 pounds through California desert/heat up and down some hills and mts. It did fine, but occasionally the transmission temp escalated beyond my comfort level and I want to beef-it-upinch a bit. What would you recommend I do to strengthen this some? Also, in looking to install a beefier suspension. I dont want the factory air system. Im considering air bags to help eliminate the sag. What would you recommend on this regard? Thanks!

For a combination engine oil and transmission fluid cooler the Derale combo cooler part # D15902 that you referenced would fit and work well. It will give you the needed extra cooling power for the transmission fluid and engine oil just like you need. Looks like you are already using weight distribution but still have a bit of suspension sag. So you'd want to verify that your loaded tongue weight falls within the range of the WD system and that it is set up properly.
For additional suspension support the Timbren kit part # TGMRG25C would be exactly what you'd need.
