Recommended Flat Towing Components or Tow Dolly for 2005 Chevy Aveo
Question:
Can you tow a 2005 Chevy Aveo or can u move it in any way
asked by: Becky
Expert Reply:
If your 2005 Chevy Aveo has an automatic transmission, then it must be towed on a tow dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1 or the self-steering # RM-2000-1 for better tracking behind your tow vehicle. With either option you will need to complete the wiring using a connector like # PK12706.
If you have the manual transmission Aveo, then you can flat tow it with 4 wheels down. Here is a quick list of the components I recommend:
Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 3129-1
Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 or the Roadmaster Tracker Tow Bar - 2" Ball # RM-020
RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643
Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267
SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251
Finally, you will either need a high-low adapter or a ball mount that is specific to your combination. I've attached some videos and articles to help further. Let me know if you have more questions.
