To tow a trailer with your 2018 Toyota Tacoma I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13264 along with the Curt T-Connector # C56349 wiring for a 4-Way
Depending on the weight of your trailer and the guidelines in your owner's manual/local laws you may need to utilize brakes on your trailer. If this is the case then I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Kit # 22117 which will give you a 7-Way and brake controller connections. For a high quality brake controller I recommend installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # 331-EBRH-ACCV2 which connects under your driver's side dash with the adapter # 3031-S and allows you to use proportional or time delayed braking. I have attached a helpful article that goes into more details about brake controllers for you.
You didn't mention if you already a ball mount or not so if you don't I recommend looking into a kit like part # C45036 which includes a ball mount, 2" hitch ball, and a hitch pin and clip. Check out the attached ball mount article to ensure that the 2" drop is correct for your towing application though.
I have attached some videos that you may find helpful as well.
