Can the Demco Recon be Used to when Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer that is Also Towing a Trailer

I am wanting to pull a small trailer behind my 5th wheel trailer. Can it be done with this hitch legally. Is it still considered a ball hitch?

The Demco Recon is technically an adapter so you may need to use safety chains since the connection to the truck is still via a ball. Assuming that the combined weight of the 5th wheel and the other trailer does not exceed the capacity of the hitch (21,000 pounds) or the truck then it can be used.
Regarding the legality of towing a trailer behind another trailer you would need to check the laws in your state and anywhere you will be traveling. It is legal in some places but not legal in other places.
