How to Bypass Brake Controller of 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
2007 Silverado 2500 diesel with integrated brakes,does not recognize trailer hooked therefore no brakes,happened few months ago also.all wiring in truck checked out ok at dealer.they reprogrammed truck brakes worked.havent used in 3months now no brakes again,any suggestions? Or am I better installing Orem controller, have always installed in prior trucks ,never had problems like this.does truck have to be reprogrammed if Orem is installed? Thanks in advance for any help u can supply!

I attached a help article that covers the entire process of installing a brake controller in a 2007 Chevy Silverado with an integrated brake controller. You really can't get a more reliable brake controller than the P3 you referenced part # 90195. This will save you trips to the dealer and will give you some peace of mind knowing that the controller is going to work well.
Basically you will wire the P3 part # 90195 to the wire bundle that is under the dash near the brake pedal. I also attached a picture that shows where this is.
There are some connections that will need to be made at the rear of the vehicle and under the hood as well.
