Will RoadActive Suspension Enhancement Kit Fit a 2018 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

Hi. I put the Timbrens on a few months ago, and I cant stand it any more. Horrible and sometimes unsafe ride, because, I have a Leer canopy on my truck and the frame sits right on the Timbrens..... Forget speed bumps.... My truck is a few months old and the awesome suspension the Off Road has is gone. Nowhere in the description or details did it mention that.... So, they have to come off. Back to Toyota to pay them $80 to put my stock bump stops back on... I would like to return them and try this solution. My springs are above the axle. I just looked at it, and where that rear mounting bolt, that goes behind the leaf spring U-bolt, I have a brake line mounted right there....is that an issue?

Sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the Timbren # TTORTUN4 on your 2018 Toyota Tacoma. They are hollow rubber springs and can create a bumpy ride when you have a load on the truck and go over speed bumps.

As for the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS4514-SAT, which is the right kit for your '18 Tacoma 4WD with the axle below the leaf springs, your ride will not be as stiff as with the Timbrens.

The RoadActive Suspension is really a full system which is essentially always active and working to improve your ride while something like jounce springs - as you are painfully aware - don't engage unless there is a reason (like a speed bump).

In terms of the brake line you mentioned, is it mounted directly under the leaf spring and unable to be moved? If so then it would be an issue but if you are able to work around the brake line it will be fine. There is actually a note from RoadActive concerning Enhancement Kit # RAS4514-SAT on 2007 - Present Toyota Tacomas, as you can see in the cut out I added. It does not mention a brake line, but does say the rear shocks are very close to the leaf springs so you do need to install the brackets in the specific manner as outlined.
