Trailer Valet to Move a Boat Trailer Around in a Garage

Question:

I have a 20’ wake board boat and am trying to squeeze it into my garage. I have to get it in at an angle make it fit in my garage. My plans is to back it in and use the trailer valet to push the tongue towards the corner. Would this work good for that?

Using a Trailer Valet product such as # STC-V211, # TVXL25, or # TVXL2 are all great options for what you want to do. The crank handles make light work of manually moving a trailer around and the dual tires provide traction. I have linked some videos for you to check out. A dolly such as # RA20 is not a good option because it is rated for 600 pounds total weight. Unless the trailer weighs under 600 pounds you would be overloading this type of dolly.

Another option, depending on the construction and design of the trailer, is to use a folding tongue. We have several hinge kits which I have linked for you that you could potentially use. Please note that these hinge kits are not recommended for aluminum frames.

If you can use one of the hinge kits then you could back the trailer into the garage straight and then fold the tongue allowing you to keep the trailer straight rather than at an angle.
