Length of BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Transom Tie-Down # IMF17631

Question:

My mounting locations are two feet apart. Is the strap from hook to hook maximum two feet, or the zinc portion to end of strap two feet? I need the overall working length to be slightly longer than two feet hook to hook. I don’t want to go to the four foot version and have to stow two feet of strap.

The BoatBuckle Pro Series Kwik-Lok Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF17631 referenced in your question feature an overall length of 2 feet, which is measured from the inside of one hook to the inside of the other. There may be an inch or so tolerance but if you are needing any more than 2 feet your best option will really be with the 4 foot Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF17632 that you also mentioned. These straps do feature a hook and loop patch that is designed to secure and collect any excess strap.

Another option that might work well is the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Ratcheting Transom Straps # IMF08893. These 2 inch wide straps feature a dual-release level and self-retracting design to allow for easy loading/unloading. Unused strap on these units simply retract into the housing. These are 43 inches long.

I have attached a short video demonstration that you can also take a look at.
