Is There Mechanism In Electric Trailer Brakes that Prevents Trailer From Moving When Parked

Question:

Please excuse the rookie question, but dont travel trailers that have electric brakes have a safety function that locks the brakes to prevent them from polling backwards unless power is applied? I have an L-shaped driveway with a tight corner that would be difficult to maneuver a trailer around with my truck, and Im thinking the Trailer Valet 5X is just what i need but I am unsure if the electric trailer brakes will be a problem.

Electric trailer brakes do not activate on their own unless a breakaway kit is activated. So if your trailer was uncoupled from your trailer and sitting in your parking lot there would be no mechanisms on the trailer that would prevent it from rolling. If you were to have the Trailer Valet 5X # STC-V211 it would roll the trailer without any obstruction from the trailer.

I attached a help article on trailer breakaway kits for you to check out as well.
