Reese Goosebox couplers like # RP85FR have an integrated air spring/air bag that cushions the ride of your trailer. It is required to keep air in the system for proper function, but it doesn't take hardly any maintenance if you don't desire a specific ride feel. Reese recommends starting between 35 and 40 psi, but you can have as low as 5 psi and a max of 50 psi. If you simply want to set it and forget it, I recommend connecting your trailer and then adding air until the rear driver's side is green. I've attached a photo to assist.

You will not need to adjust the coupler air pressure each time you connect or have access to an air compressor regularly. Most folks adjust the coupler based on riding preferences and simply use a compressor at the local gas station to add air as desired at the same time they check their tire pressure.
