Brake Mounting Hole Dimensions for the Etrailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA
Question:
My axles are old with eight lug hubs and 2x12 brakes, so far so good. The five bolts mounting the backing plates are 3/8 inch studs pressed into the plate with the nuts around the axle . The newer ones of course are opposite, have loose flat sided bolts that are maybe 7/16 inch going in from the axle side. Can these be made to work ? If you dont know could you give me the spacing on the five holes. On mine the bottom two are 3CC and about 2 1/8 inch +/- on the rest Also what is your part # for the flat sided studs with nuts? Thanks

It sounds like what you currently have is a brake mounting flange like part # 4-44-1 that you are wanting to mount the Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA to. If this is the case then the bottom mounting holes are 3" apart on center with the other holes being 2-1/8" apart on center just like you mentioned.
If you are needing new mounting hardware then the kit # BRKH12 is what you are needing for these 12" brakes. Attached is an installation video of this kit for you to reference.
