We can look at it as a better and best, type of situation when looking at tire chains for your 2007 Ford F-150. The better chains would be ideal for infrequent use in areas that do not normally get a lot of snow and ice. I recommend the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, # PW2028C. This is a basic set of chains that features steel wiring covered with case hardened steel rollers for traction. With these you would probably want the rubber adjusters, # PW99 to keep the chains taut.

For the best in chains for a 275/55/20 tire, go with the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains, # PWE3229S. If you plan on doing a lot of driving in areas were snow and ice are a given, this is the set for you. These chains have square links which is the best for traction and grip. The chains are corrosion resistant because they are made of nickel manganese alloy steel which also gives them their strength. These chains do not require a cam tightener or rubber adjusters to stay tight.

Make sure to consult your vehicle owners manual for any restrictions or recommendations for tire chain use. I have included a link to our FAQ article on tire chains for you.
