Recommended Trailer Wiring for 4-Way Flat Wire Connection
Question:
So the 4 wire only has one brown wire but it needs to go on both sides. Do i cut the white wire for ground and use the access white wire for the brown wire and splice into the brown wire to run down the other side of the trailor?

The Bonded 4 Wire - per foot # 16-4B-1 can be used in the manner you suggested. You can either splice that wire in at the tongue and run it down both sides or you can run a jump wire from one side to the other near the axle. You can use that white ground wire as you mentioned since you don't need that ground run to the tail lights on both sides unless you want the single ground location and the tail lights don't ground through the mounting hardware.
Your other option is to use a wishbone harness like # A35W42B that has the separate running light wires integrated. I've attached the page to all your options for length and cost options. I've also attached an article to assist.
