No Power on 12 Volt Circuit on 7-Way Trailer Connector on a 2007 Chevy Silverado

Why dont I have power to the trailer out let on my 2007 Silverado pu?

Some Chevy trucks that came with or without a tow package did not have the tow package wiring completed for some reason. That is likely what is going on with your 2007 Silverado. I have included some links that will help you. One of them is for 2007 New Body style Silverados. For that one you will want to go down to the "Finalizing Connections for the Brake Controller section that mentions the location of the 12 volt power wire and where to connect it.
The other link is for up 2006 models which would include 2007 Classic old body styles. You would need the section titled Under the Hood, step F. It describes hardwiring in the 12 volt lead so if you need to follow this method then you will need about 20 feet or so of wire # 10-1-1, sold by the foot to manually run a wire from the power distribution box to the 7-Way as described in the link.
