Best Bike Rack for a 2018 Radcity Step-Thru Electric Commuter Bike
Question:
I just bought a RadPower e-bike. The specs say it weighs 61 pounds. Will this RockyMounts rack work for this bike?

For your 2018 Radcity Step-Thru Electric Commuter Bike, the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo 1 Bike Platform Rack part # RKY10007 will not work well. Because your bike has fenders the wheel hooks won't be able to grab the wheel and the ratcheting hook won't hold the bike firmly without bending your fender. The weight capacity of 60 lbs is also an issue.
A better option for you is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Rack # HLY84FR which is rated for up to 80 lbs per bike. This rack will allow you to attach the padded hooks to your frame instead of your front wheel. With a step-thru frame, that can be an issue, but when you pair the rack with an adapter bar you will be able to hold the bike firmly. This rack also will have no issue with the weight of your bike. I have attached a review video of the Swagman Adapter Bar # 64005 for you as well.
