Troubleshooting Trailer Jack and Slide Out on Trailer Not Functioning

Question:

I arrived to the campground and the power tongue jack doesn’t work. I tried the manual crank but seems frozen, won’t move. The fuse is ok. Incidentally, the power slide doesn’t work either but I was manually able to crank it out. I am camping still hooked to trailer for a week. Is there any other trouble shooting that I can do?

Since the jack and the slide aren't working I'd first suspect the battery. I'd try checking the main ground connection to the battery. Make sure the terminals are clean and tight. A lot of times a weak ground will cause the higher drawing accessories to stop working. If that check out I'd assume the battery is weak and needs either a decent charge or to be replaced.

The CTEK chargers like part # CTEK56864 have a recondition option that I've used to bring back a few dead batteries with great luck.
