Dolly Towing a 2016 Fiat 500 Gucci Automatic Transmission

2016 Fiat 500 A/T Gucci https://www.etrailer.com/question-265553.html Following up on dolly the Fiat 500 A/T, why would the manual say that dolly towing is NOT ALLOWED their caps? If the M/T version of this car can be flat towed, does anything special have to be done for the back tires? Thanks for your help

That customer asked about the 2017 Fiat 500 FWD. Your 2016 Fiat A/T Gucci according to the owners manual will allow dolly towing with the front wheels off the ground according to the online owners manual on page 305 and page 306 states not to flat tow any vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission as damage to the drive train will result. A manual transmission vehicle can be flat towed with the transmission in neutral without damage based on the manufacturer design.
If you utilize a tow dolly like # RM-2050-1 you will also need to use 7-way connection # PK12706. Whether you use a tow dolly or if you flat tow (a manual transmission vehicle) nothing special needs to be done for the back tires. There are no speed restrictions for your model year vehicle.
