Just installed a Maxxair 4500K fan in my trailer, the lid wont shut with the remote, but it will open with the remote, why is this happening did I install something wrong?

Is there a clicking noise when the "close" button on the remote is pressed? Does the fan stop moving when the "close" button on the remote is pressed? If you hear a clicking noise then the motor is likely faulty but if the fan doesn't stop moving then the issue is likely a fault in the circuit board. If the unit was just purchased then I recommend contacting the vendor to have a warranty claim filed.
