Is Curt Wiring Harness for 2018 Honda Pilot Mounted Inside Vehicle  

Question:

Can the Curt wiring harness be installed and mounted into the bumper directly adjacent to the OEM hitch port? Or is it just installed and kept inside the trunk space? If so, would the T-One 7way wiring be a better option if I want to have in mounted next to the hitch? I dont need a 7 way as I will only rarely use this for pulling a uhaul or trailer on occasion, but would rather it be mounted outside the vehicle. Thanks.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56291 is installed and mounted inside the trunk space of your 2018 Honda Pilot, as you can see by the accompanying photo, which is from a video we did installing this connector in a '17 Pilot.

If you wanted to mount your connector under your Pilot you would not need to use the T-One 7-Way # 118286 if you do not need it. Instead you can use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118760, which like the 7-Way will mount under your Pilot near the hitch.

I have added a link to the installation instructions of this connector for you to check out. You can use mounting brackets # 18140 and # 18144 to install the 4-way next to your hitch.
