Light Weight 4-Bike Rack for Use on the Back of a Trailer or Motorhome
Question:
Looking to use the Doubledown Ace on the rear bumper of my camper. When weight is at a premium, I’m trying to find a lightweight option that will accommodate four bikes. Any chance you could tell me the weight of this bike carrier?

Expert Reply:
The Yakima RidgeBack # Y02458 weighs 35 pounds. But this rack is not approved for use on any sort of trailer or motorhome because it was not designed to withstand the stress. You can however use the similar LongHaul # Y02476 which weighs 32 pounds and has been thoroughly tested and approved for use on the back of a fifth wheel, motorhome, travel trailer, flat-towed vehicle, as well as a standard passenger vehicle.
