How to Use a Fat Tire Bike on the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack
Question:
Hi, I bought a new bike rack and I need a longer replacement strap for the T2 Pro XT. All I seen was the 18 inch and it barely makes it around my fat tire on the rack....I mean barely...mabye one or 2 clicks. I have to let half the air out of the tire to feel good about it being secure. Getting to be a pain in the ass. Thanks in advance,

The Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TH83JV that you referenced comes with the longer wheel straps and wider wheel cradles to accept fat tires bikes with tires up to 5" wide. They do not make a longer wheel strap for this bike rack so your only option like you mentioned would be to continue deflating the tires so you can secure the wheels inside the cradles.
