The towing capacity of a 2011 Ford F-150 in terms of a fifth wheel trailer depends on your engine as well as your F-150's GCWR, wheelbase, axle ratio, cab and if it is a 2 or 4 wheel drive. There are many different possibilities so I recommend checking out your owner's manual which will guide you on exactly how to determine the maximum weight of a fifth wheel you can tow, though I can tell you the range will be between 7,500 lbs and 10,000 lbs. For your truck you will need a sliding fifth wheel hitch and I recommend checking out the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # 16516 which has an auto-locking slide-bar jaw and non-binding slider; this hitch has a towing capacity of 16,000 lbs. To mount it in the bed of your F-150 I strongly recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford F150 # C16441-204 because it will not require drilling into your truck's frame to install the brackets which makes the installation a simpler process.
