For your 2015 Subaru Outback with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver- 2" # 76227 I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118467. This wiring harness will install to your factory wiring harness behind the driver's side trim panel in your cargo area or in the spare tire compartment. I've attached a video to further assist.
If you will be towing, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10035B. This will give you the adjustability and two hitch ball options to allow towing level. It also has a really nice stowable feature to protect your shins when not in use. I recommend using a hitch lock like # e98882 to secure your investment.
