Will a Trailer Hitch Interfere with Hands-Free Lift Gate on a 2018 Honda CR-V
Question:
Do you have a trailer hitch which would not require the rear door sensor to be moved to still work? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The available trailer hitches for the 2018 Honda CR-V will partially block if not completely block the hands-free lift gate sensors on the vehicle. If you install one of the hitches, such as # 76128, the effective area the sensors cover may just be limited so it could still work. But if it doesn't work no matter where you kick out your foot then you would need the Honda relocation kit from a Honda dealership parts department.
