On your 2003 Dodge Ram, you will need to measure from the rear edge of the truck bed forward 28-5/16 inches. This is where the rear edge of the rear rail will sit when installing the Semi-Custom 5th Wheel Installation Kit # RP30035-023. I have included some instructions links for this kit for you.

There are also some custom installation kits that will require less installation time. I would just need to know if you have a 1500, 2500, or 3500, with or without overload springs, and what cab size.
