If you are able to operate the lights on your electric trailer jack, like the Stromberg Carlson # JET-3555, but not the jack itself then you either have a battery that isn't fully charged or the jack itself doesn't have a good ground.
The lights on a jack don't draw much power but the operation of the jack does. Check either the ground wire or your mounting hardware (however your jack grounds) to make sure that your jack has a good, solid, clean connection. If it does then you will need to test your battery to see if it needs to be charged.
If we carry the jack that you just installed and neither of these solutions work then let me know what you have and I can try helping you troubleshoot further.
