Mounting Rhino-Rack Track Mounted Roof Rack # Y02-490B to Naked Dodge Durango Roof
Question:
While I understand this kit is meant to mount to a camper shell/topper, I assume it could as effectively mount to a naked Dodge Durango roof with a change in mounting hardware? It is nearly identical to Yakimas Y01618 kit in size and style. If I bought plusnuts to mount to the Durango roof, instead of the provided T-nuts... Wouldnt it accomplish the same objective?

The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System w/ 2 Vortex Aero Crossbars - Track Mount - Black - 59" Long # Y02-490B can be installed on your Dodge Durango roof using alternate hardware like the Replacement PlusNut Hardware Kit for Yakima Roof Rack Tracks # Y8880039 if desired. It will be a custom application so the rating of the system may not be identical to the factory ratings, but it can be done. The issue would be with any warranty since it won't be installed to manufacturer specs.
