Ball Mount With 1-1/4 Inch Drop That Fits 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch

Question:

I read an answer to a question on your web site regarding the type of draw bar to use with a Draw-tite hitch and Mike L. suggested the following The average trailer coupler height is around 16-17 inches, and the likely height of your receiver tube is about 11 inches, so youll need a ball mount with a rise of around 5 inches like part # C45015. I have a Draw-tite hitch on my 2006 Volvo V70 with a 1.25inch opening for a draw bar. I purchased a 1.25inch Reese draw bar #7067933, but the fit is way too tight. I believe the drop I need for my Scamp trailer is 1.25, measuring from the top of the Reese draw bar where it slips into the receiver to the top of the bar where the ball mounts. Do you have a draw bar with the drop I need and that will fit my Draw-tite tow hitch, The ball size for my trailer is 2. Thanks

For a ball mount (draw bar) with a 1-1/4" drop that fits into a 1-1/4" trailer hitch you need the Draw-Tite # 36051, which has a 300 lb tongue weight capacity, 3,500 lb towing capacity and is only compatible with Class II 1-1/4" hitches.

This ball mount includes a pin and clip but for a 2" hitch ball you need # 19258.
