Determining Amount of Weight that Can be Put on Cargo Carrier for 2017 Fiat 500e
Question:
If I attach a hitch mounted platform with 11363 on a fiat 500e what would be the maximum safe weight? The platform says 600 lbs - how many pounds do you think the 11363 and car frame could take? Thank you.

The Curt Class I Receiver Hitch # C11363 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2017 Fiat 500e.
When looking at how much weight you can safely put on a hitch-mounted carrier with this hitch and your vehicle, the most important thing to keep in mind is that you will always be limited by your setup's weakest component. So when looking at a platform carrier that is rated for 600 pounds like what you mentioned, you are going to be limited by the hitch's rating. This is because the Curt hitch features a tongue weight capacity of 200 pounds (this is the weight that is pushing down on the receiver from a carrier or bike rack). So even though the carrier itself can support up to 600 pounds, you will not be able to exceed the 200 pound limit on the hitch. Keep in mind that you will also need to factor in the weight of your carrier (if your carrier weighs 50 pounds, you will be limited to 150 pounds of cargo weight that you can load onto it).
There is not a higher rated hitch available for your vehicle.
In addition to the hitch, you will also want to verify the tongue weight capacity of your Fiat 500e, which should be listed in your owner's manual. If it is lower than 200 pounds, you will need to adhere to that rating.
For a Class I compatible carrier that will work nicely with the above mentioned Curt hitch, I recommend the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110. This carrier features inside dimensions of 47-11/16 inches long, 19-1/2 inches wide, and 2-9/16 inches deep.
