Recommended Sway Control for 4,200 Trailer

The Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200 is a good option to assist with sway control if you already have a weight distribution system or if you have a ball mount that is able to use Sway Control # RP26003.
A better option would be to get a weight distribution system with sway control like the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800. This is rated for total tongue weights between 400 and 800 lbs. That total tongue weight is the loaded trailer tongue weight along with any cargo behind the rear axle of the towing vehicle.
This will distribute the weight more evenly and use metal on metal friction to control sway. This system will also allow you to back up with the system on where the friction bar systems will not. You will however also need a hitch ball like # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. To install this you may also want the thin walled socket # ALL643216.
