Base Plate Kit Needed for Flat Towing a 2011 Jeep Wrangler with a Barricade Bumper and Winch

What do I need for a 2011 wrangler with a barricade bumper and winch

Since you have an aftermarket bumper with D-Rings on your 2011 Jeep Wrangler you will need to go with a Roadmaster adapter. Part # RM-035 is for 3/4" thick D-Ring mounts while part # RM-035-1 is for 1" thick D-Ring mounts. You also need to check to make sure that your bumper is rated for use with flat towing your Wrangler. If it is then I can help you get the rest of the equipment that you need.
A complete flat towing setup consists of a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. Since the D-Ring mounts act as a base plate kit you will need the rest of the parts in the list for your application (provided you don't have any of them already).
The Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain # RM-522 is compatible with the D-Ring mounts and the Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 pair up with this tow bar for a 6,000 lb weight capacity.
For wiring I recommend the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. Once installed, this provides a quick way to connect your Jeep lights to your motorhome. Another great feature is that you can install the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to the center pin on the 6-Way connector to keep your battery from draining.
Your battery does need to be disconnected before flat towing your Jeep. The Roadmaster Kit # RM-766 is great for this application because it allows you to easily disconnect the battery without having to physically disconnect it, saving time and accidentally damaging your terminals.
My favorite braking system to recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. This is a proportional braking system that activates the brakes on your Jeep at the same time and with the same intensity as your motorhome. After the initial installation you will hardly notice that this is in your vehicle. To get your Jeep ready to tow you just have to connect the breakaway switch and turn the unit on!
Most flat towing setups require a high-low adapter for the tow bar to remain level while towing. I have linked our selection of adapters for you to check out as well as an article that will help you determine which is the best one for your application.
I have linked some review videos for you to check out but you will also want to refer to your owner's manual for any specific instructions regarding flat towing your Wrangler.
