There are a number of parts needed for you to flat tow a 2015-2018 Chevy Silverado 2500, starting with compatible base plates. The correct fit will depend on if you have tow hooks or not.

If your Silverado DOES have tow hooks, you need the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit # 3167-3 along with the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM-676, which I like because of how easy it is to connect to the base plates and the fact it comes with integrated safety cables and LED lights.

With this set up the easiest wiring kit to use so your Silverado's lights function while you tow is the Roadmaster Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154. Additionally, I recommend using the Roadmaster Tow Bar Cover # RM-055-3 to keep your tow bar safe from the elements and excessive grime, which ensures your tow bar gives you optimal performance.

If your Silverado does NOT have tow hooks you need a different set up, starting with Demco Base Plate Kit # DM9517321 and a compatible tow bar, the Demco Dominator # DM9511008. This tow bar also comes with safety chains and a self-aligning design so you can easily connect to your base plates. For wiring you want to use the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. To protect your Demco two bar I recommend the Demco Tow Bar Storage Cover # DM9523042; you can also use the Sentry Deflector for Demco Tow Bars # DM9523135 to help keep your Silverado from getting damaged. This deflector will attach to the Demco tow bar and shields your truck from rocks and other flying debris.

A supplemental braking system is a requirement in most states and I highly recommend the Stay-IN-Play # SM99251 for this. This is a proportional braking system which is a one-time install which you can leave in so you'll never have to deactivate or reactivate it. You will need to use Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751463 along with your supplemental braking system to ensures the braking system is functioning properly.

The Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 will make disconnecting your Silverado's battery much easier and you will need to use Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 as well to maintain your Chevy's battery as it is being towed.

Finally, it is likely you will need a high-low adapter to keep your tow bar level with your tow vehicle. The adapter you need is going to depend on some measurements you'll need to take. I have added a link to a help article on high-low adapters which explains the measurements you'll need, as well as a link to our page with our selection of adapters.
