Question:

It looked like the hitch C12163 is the right fit, however, my daughter looked up on line a wheelchair carrier Silver Spring Manual Wheelchair carrier item MWCC. I need help to know if I need to purchase these 2 items, and who can install them for me. Am elderly , 70 yrs, female, and relying on your help to be able to be successful in doing this. Where do I go ? Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your husband. I will do what I can to make life easier for the both of you.
I looked up the wheelchair carrier and it will work with Curt trailer hitch # C12163. It looks like it needs to bolt through a ball mount or secures to the ball mount using a hitch ball; I can't really tell from the pictures I've seen. Either way you will need ball mount # C45521. If the carrier does require a ball to mount as well then for a 2 inch ball use # A-82. If it needs a 1-7/8 inch ball use # A-80.
I was able to find some information on the wheelchair. As long as the chair folds up like an accordion I am sure it will work with the carrier. The carrier does have some adjustability to it.
For installations any trusted mechanic can perform the hitch installation and mount the carrier for you. It would take a professional installer probably at least 2 hours to install the hitch if not more since this hitch installation is fairly involved.
