Yes you can use the same size tire and same wheel and upgrade the tires. I recommend the Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # TR225LRE. They are rated for 2,830 lbs at 80 psi and speeds up to 81 mph. These tires come with a 2 year warranty and have automotive grade sipes for better traction on wet roads. They also have tread depth indicators like most vehicle tires to show tread wear and when they need replaced.
Another great option is the Westlake ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # LHWL304 which is rated for up to 2,830 lbs at 80 psi and speeds up to 75 mph. This tire has a 5 year warranty with 2 years complimentary roadside assistance 24/7.
