Does the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 Have to be In-Line with Direction of Travel

TRAILER....ECHO EE-14-14....14 GA. STEEL DECK Does the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 control front to back movement on a side load metal bed trailer? atv moving sideways to front or rear of trailer. Can you place one on front wheel and other diagonal to rear wheel I.E. lt. front and rt. rear wheels to acomodate loading trailer from either side? Echo trailer uses a 14 ga. steel plank channel lightly welded to frame. Would this be strong enough to anchor to?

You can use the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 to help secure your ATV but you really need something securing your ATV in the direction of travel.

You could put some Horizontal E-Track like part # E19148 in-line with the direction of travel and do a kind of criss-cross pattern over your ATV with straps like part # EM59136 to help secure it, but Erickson does not recommend securing the load only using a straps that are not with the direction of travel.

As long as your trailer is rated for the weight of your ATV it should be good to go. If you check out customer photos of the ATV Tie Down Kit you will see plently of people have successfully installed these on metal trailers.
