Will the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Part # C13337 Interfere with Hands Free Liftgate Sensors

Question:

Will this hitch make the kick sensor for the tailgate non functional? I love this feature on the car, dont use it often but when I do its a life saver.

We have not yet installed the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13337 on a 2018 Lexus NX 300h with the hands free liftgate sensors so I would not be able to give you an exact answer. However, almost all of the vehicle's that have the hands free liftgate sensors will still be able to retain this feature even with an aftermarket trailer hitch installed like the one above. The only issue is that you may just need to position your foot slightly left or right of the receiver tube in order for the sensors to trigger but they should still work for you.

If you need help with installation then I have attached a video for you. This vehicle did not have the hands free liftgate sensors but the process will still be the same. If you can tell me what you will be using the trailer hitch receiver for then I would be happy to offer some additional recommendations for you.
