Can 12 Volt Batteries of Trailer Power AC Power Outlets

Question:

I recently installed 2 six volt GC batteries in series for my travel trailer. I would like to use the batteries to power my wall receptacles - to plug in a reading light, a small fan, charge my laptop, and other small draw electrical appliances. I saw a related QandA response : Any wall receptacle would most likely be wired to shore power only and would not be able to be ran on the 12 volt system unless it was rewired to an inverter like # WC3720. This would require you rewire that outlet to go back to shore power. Your best bet would be to install an inverter and plug into it when you need to charge cell phones and computers and other light duty 120v AC tasks. helpful expert reply by: Bob G Could someone offer a more detailed explanation of setting up the WC3720 to run the receptacles from batteries - the response above seemed a bit circular to me... Thanks

AC power like what is found in a house is different from DC like the 12 volt battery setup you mentioned. Since you want to convert from DC to AC all you need is the inverter part # WC3720 that you mentioned. It would wire to the battery and then give you three outlets for the appliances you mentioned.

I attached a review video for more info on this for you to check out as well.
