Will Installation of Curt Class I Hitch # C13524 on 2003 Toyota RAV4 Interfere With Muffler
Question:
Looking at this hitch installation diagram and then looking under my RAV 4, it looks like the muffler may be in the way. How do I get around the muffler?

If you have the factory muffler on your 2003 Toyota RAV4, it should not interfere with the hitch installation of Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13524. The hitch will bolt up to the vehicles frame with two bolts on each side and end up being positioned right alongside the muffler with the hitch being closer to the rear of the vehicle.
I am including a link to a video of this Curt Hitch, part # C13524, being installed on a 2001 Toyota RAV4. The video will show you how it attaches to your vehicles frame and where it is located in relation to the muffler.
I am including links to the installation instructions as well.
If you will be towing with the # 24704 hitch, you will also need the following items.
Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 3593
Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258, or Tow Ready 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256
Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, part # 118389 (see link for installation instructions)
