Hitch Extension Compatibility With Front Hitch on 2013 Ford F150 for Winch Mount Fit
Question:
One question regarding your hitch recommendation. Would I not need to go with a beefier one like RM-071-1075 with a 10,000 GTW since the capacity of winch and hitch receiver is around 9-10k and my truck weighs roughly 5000 lb? I’m happy to buy cheaper but don’t mind paying for what I need!

For your Warn Zeon 10 Winch on your 2013 Ford F-150, the Curt front mounted receiver # C31068 has a vertical load of 500 lbs and a line pull ratting of 9,000 lbs. Because of the recessed receiver, I recommend the Curt Hitch Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers - 8" Long # C45791 which reduces that vertical load limit by 50% and brings it to 250 lbs.
I recommend using hitch lock # e98880 and getting the pins keyed alike by selecting that from the box on the product page.
