Will An Additional Locking Hitch Pin be Needed When Using the Brophy # RH2-XL for T2 Classic
Question:
I am using the Thule T2 classic and already have the locking hitch pin that comes with that. Just wondering if I will need to order another?

Expert Reply:
Even though the Thule T2 Classic # TH9045 comes with a threaded locking hitch pin you would need to use another locking hitch pin like part # e98879 to utilize the Hitch Extender # HES6.
Please note that using this hitch extender will reduce the overall weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50% and will add some extra play to your bike rack. The T2 Classic weighs 50 lbs so as long as your bikes plus this 50 lbs doesn't exceed the tongue weight of your vehicle you can use it. I do recommend using the Quiet Hitch # RM-061-125 as well to reduce the amount of play that your bike rack experiences.
