Recommended Reese 5th Wheel Brackets for 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 6-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
I wish to install a Reese fifth wheel hitch in my 2016 Chevrolet 2500HD. 61/2 ft box. I have rails and universal brackets. Are there brackets that dont require drilling the frame. Reese 30047 Thanks

Since you already have the Rails, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50066 which require no drilling into your frame rails. The hardware for these brackets is included. For your rails, I recommend the Replacement Hardware Kit for Reese 5th Wheel Base Rails # RP58504 as the hardware is only recommended for one time use.
Then for your hitch, I recommend the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider # RP30051 to allow the turning clearance for your short bed truck. If you have a Sidwinder or Revolution style pin box, then you can use the fixed hitch like # RP30047.
You may also want to consider wiring harness # 50-97-410 to add a second 7-way to the bed of your truck for easy access and connection.
