Question:
Hi, I have a swagman chinook bike rack I have a locking hitch pin that came with it and it has worked well. But, I want to upgrade to the best and most secure locking hitch pin you have or can recommend. Thanks

Your Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack # S64683, like most hitch-mounted bike racks, features a threaded hitch pin hole on the shank that makes it compatible only with their own hitch pins. Because of this, the locking threaded hitch pin that came with the Chinook is really your only option for a locking hitch pin on the bike rack. There isn't another hitch pin available that will work with the shank's uniquely threaded hitch pin hole.
The Chinook also includes bike locks that are loaded into the arms, but if you want to add even more security, you can always add another cable lock like #e98891 to loop around the bikes and the safety chain hooks on your trailer hitch.
If you are looking for an upgrade because you are still experiencing more movement than you would like on the bike rack inside the hitch receiver, you can also add an anti-rattle device like the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 for 2 inch receivers or # RM-061-125 for 1-1/4 inch receivers. This will slide over the shank of the bike rack and the U-bolt will hook around the collar of the hitch receiver to eliminate any movement. Just note that the hitch on your vehicle does need to have a collar or ring around it for this to work.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this product so you can see exactly how it works.
