How to Use the Strait-Line Weight Distribution # RP66130 on a Ford F-150 with Air Bags
Question:
ok, etrailer, I am putting on a reese strait line w/sway 15000/1500 to pull my open range .. I already have air leveling bags I put on my ford f150 4wd, but I read somewhere that I should go ahead and put whatever air pressure I think I need in the bags first, then do all adjustments to the wd hitch. what do you think I should do EXACTLY? in using both these in conjunction.

Great question!
For installation details we always refer to the installation instructions so that we make sure that the equipment is properly used. The instructions for the Strait-Line Weight Distribution # RP66130 (which are linked for you to check out) state on page 2:
"For vehicles with air springs, air shocks or automatic leveling system, check vehicle owners manual. Unless otherwise specified, level the vehicle with the vehicle loaded as it will be when towing before setting ball height and attaching trailer."
If you have OEM air bags on your Ford F-150 then refer to the owner's manual, otherwise it is best to load your F-150 as if you are going on your trip, level it with the air bags, and then couple your trailer.
